Minding Miss Manners -- Day 2/269

Walk: Mindful Body
Distance: 10 blocks and teach yoga class

There are many more things rattling around in ciwt's brain than I write about.  I feel it behooves me to keep CIWT lightish.  I believe Miss Manners (Judith Martin) whom I saw last night would agree and be able to articulate why in a way both supremely eloquent and dead on realistic.  She was so much more than I bargained for:  I total real world woman, comfortably and conversationally brilliant, authentic.  I believe I expected more of a pose but she is integrated to the bone.  An excellent, thought-provoking evening with an admirable woman.

(And audience too I might add.  Interesting questions, many long-time followers but not groupies genuinely appreciative of the opportunity to be in her company. But not so appreciative that they lapsed into gushing.  Compliments were nice but restrained and all questions articulate and challenging).

My  ticket turned out to include a copy of the new book she wrote with her son. Should be fun (and educational) reading.
