So on this weekend's walk in search of entrants to her Neighborhood Halloween Decorating Contest Ciwt saw many neighbors and their hired workers working busily on decorating.  But no scary entrant candidates.  Instead she enjoyed the colorful restfulness of the pumpkin arrangements along the way.

Daniel Day-Lews and Sean Bean in Anemone

So in spite of seeing low RT reviews Ciwt took herself to a matinee of Anemone.  She found it to be unbalanced with its parts (characters, nature, circumstances) not fitting together into a whole.  And too flimsy to contain the great Daniel Day-Lewis's superb acting.  But, contained or not, his acting is always worth a trip to the theater.  Plus who knows when you'll have an opportunity to do that again in the future.  And, low reviews not withstanding, she was thankful to have gone to a movie that has plot, depth, sensitivity, almost makes it as an excellent movie in the old, independent movie manner.  It deserves attention.
