So, Ciwt ran all the way home from West Side Story because the dancing, the NYC settings and several of the performances were electrifying.  Go the Spielberg's remake for those and other elements of one of Broadway's greatest musicals.  The central love story wasn't believable for Ciwt (because of some shallow acting and the 1-day duration of the romance), but that made way for the larger, deeper personalities, side and back stories with which Spielberg has enhanced his movie.

So far it in her neighborhood Ciwt's holiday decoration event looks to be a contest of lovely wreaths perfectly suited to their front doors.  Maybe this weekend will bring more elaborate seasonal house trimmings.

Usually Ciwt's neighbors don't go in for much post-Halloween decorating.  But this year is looking to be an exception.  We might have a Contest on our hands!!   Stay tuned....

So Ciwt took a quick trip to Palm Springs/Indian Wells to see a brother and watch her sister play in a golf tournament.  As always when she's been there the weather and visuals were postcard perfect. 

But she can never quite get over that much of what she is enjoying is man made on top of arid desert.  Not being judgemental; just hard to completely process.
