Color remained Josef Albers' main preoccupation in both his art and his teaching (Bauhaus, Black Mountain College, Yale). In Formulation : Articulation (a collection of 127 silkscreen Albers prints) he writes of the pair above:  A quartet with in Homage to the Square which permits and deserves reversal - and, although reversed, the two remain twins.
